Worth a detour.
Not one beach — a labyrinth of sea caves, grottoes, and rock formations at the tip of the Lagos headland. You swim between cathedral-scale arches while small boats full of sunburned tourists motor past taking your photo. The water is absurd. Bring goggles. The place is a geology lesson that happens to be a swimming pool.
Swimmers and kayakers by day, boat-tour punters throughout. It's shared water, not a private cove. Beautiful enough that you forgive it.
Boat tours run regardless of swell; in choppy water the caves are closed and you've paid €25 to bob in a dinghy. Check conditions before booking.
